It's time for one of our trademark rants, and this time we target a school grading system that is confusing, impractical, and just generally a nightmare for students and parents (and we're guessing for teachers too). We give it an F.

On our entertainment-themed Round 2 this week: On Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, "Zoey's Extraordinary Failure" seems to be betraying her brother, but for us it's the lack of production numbers and laughs. Next: "Zoey's Extraordinary Night Out."
On Veronica Mars , last week we didn't get enough Keith Mars, and this week we didn't get enough Wallace. However, we did get rid of Troy, which is a win {"You Think You Know Somebody"). Next: "The Return of the Kane."
Who's the better parent, you or your own mom or dad? After we read about a survey that asked parents this question, we had to jump in with our thoughts. Nicole has a clear answer, but Terri and Catherine weren't quite ready to declare victory.
On Speed-Round Sunday, we share a mini episode from our past for your weekend listening pleasure.
We all agree that covering your windows is important (though some of Nicole's neighbors? Not so much). But what are we covering them with? Blinds? Fresh new curtains? Old dirty curtains? Maybe a bedsheet in a pinch? Tell us what's on your windows in the comments here or on our Facebook page.
On Second-Listen Saturday, we share some fun moments from past episodes for your weekend listening pleasure.
It should come as no surprise that teens want their parents to be available but not intrusive. A New York Times article considers that a good thing, but some of us aren't so sure. Want more? Listen to the rest of this December 2016 episode.
On this week’s Roundabout Roundup: Catherine shouts out the Alex & Ani store in Cranston, RI, for giving her daughter's team the VIP treatment. Nicole's keeping up with the kids on TikTok, while Terri is reliving her youthful love of Banana Republic on Abandoned Republic (also on Facebook). Mentioned: Periscope was the app Grandma Terri was trying to recall.
Thanks as always to Jon Morin for our fun in-and-out music, which you hear on every episode.
Go read the caption on this adorable photo James Van Der Beek posted on Instagram, then come back here for our discussion of just how right we think this dad of five gets it. He's probably been listening to our podcast to acquire this wisdom.
Catherine's about to enter semi-retirement from all her sports mom volunteer jobs, and Terri and Nicole are already there. We wonder what we'll find to complain about now!
What We’re Watching: ZEP “Zoey’s Extraordinary Neighbor” and Veronica Mars “The Wrath of Con”3/3/2020
On our entertainment-themed Round 2 this week: On Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, Zoey's powers get her in trouble with neighbor Mo. And we trade growing complexity of plot (thumbs up) for big production numbers (thumbs down). Next: "Zoey's Extraordinary Failure."
In Neptune, Veronica dons an array of costumes to solve the Veronica Mars case of the week, "The Wrath of Con," and we trade Keith Mars screen time for lots of Lilly flashbacks. Next: "You Think You Know Somebody."
Last week's mention of The Repair Shop TV show got us talking about family heirlooms: What we have, what we care about, what we might pass on to our kids (whether they like it or not).
