What happens when parents and kids experience a culture clash? Is it tougher to provide support when your child is very different from you, or is having a very different growing-up experience than you did? As with all things, we say yes--and no. Mentioned: Far From the Tree: Parents, Children, and the Search for Identity by Andrew Solomon.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer." But will you be able to find it when you want to see it? Want more? Listen to the rest of this March 2018 episode.
On this week’s Roundabout Roundup: Terri wants you to know that you can save your eyes with a zoom-in feature on Mac. Nicole's loving Kodiak Cakes's whole-grain muffin mixes. And Catherine recommends the French heist series Lupin on Netflix.

After a sanctimonious New York Times article on kids' screen time during the pandemic, Indi Savarajiva countered with "Screen Time Cannot Be Worse Than My Dumb and Dangerous Childhood" on Medium. What We’re Watching: ZEP “Zoey’s Extraordinary Employee” and Veronica Mars “Charlie Don’t Surf”2/2/2021
On this week's entertainment-themed Round 2, Zoey's "extraordinary" employee turns out to be unextraordinarily fired. And because two love interests for Zoey were not enough, we now have a third on the scene. Next: "Zoey's Extraordinary Trip."
On Veronica Mars, we continue to recommend that everyone take a trip far, far away from Neptune and Hearst College. If the season-long mystery is "Who is the rapist?", we're not sure we can handle it. Next: "President Evil." Mentioned: Veronica Mars Investigations podcast (covering episodes 2, 3, and 4).
Nicole's results from AncestryDNA were a little unexpected, and gave her some new bragging rights in her family. Catherine's, from another purveyor, were too vague to be of interest. And Terri's staying far, far away; she's not even interested in her past or future dogs' DNA results, let alone her own.
