On Speed-Round Sunday, we share a mini episode from our past for your weekend listening pleasure.
A cartoon from Hedger Humor for Babble (go look at it now; we'll wait) got us thinking about the sweet simple things that make us happy now, in our grown-up years.

We had a bossy parenting article to discuss, but decided to give ourselves a break on that, along with lots of other things parents are probably supposed to be worrying about. Want more? Listen to the rest of this September 2017 episode.
On this week’s Roundabout Roundup: Terri is a fan of the latest update to the iOS operating system (although she has some free ideas for app developers). Nicole found a life-changing chemical-free toilet bowl cleaner thanks to TikTok. And Catherine's back with a second rec for SkinnyPop flavored popcorn. This time: everything bagel seasoning.
Thanks as always to Jon Morin for our fun in-and-out music, which you hear on every episode.
During these times. the need for pick-me-ups is pretty much constant. We obsess about what we do now to cheer ourselves up, and what we wish we could be doing. Luckily, talking to each other helps.
On this week's Round 3, we complain about all the ways our family members spend money in ways we disapprove of: On luxury personal hygiene products, on purchases they haven't consulted us about, on items that contribute to general household clutter. It's (usually) their money, but we still don't have to like it. Mentioned: our recent episode on kids' financial independence.
On Dancing with the Stars, Tyra repeatedly reminded us that the show was live, and then proved it with an embarrassing fumble of the bottom two couples and the elimination. Get it together, DWTS! Next: '80s Night.
On Veronica Mars, never mind the buttocks, indeed, because this title has next to nothing to do with the storylines on the episode. They include: More ridiculous theories about the bus crash, the continuing influence of the Fitzpatricks, a kid who's scarily good with a bow and arrow, and Kendall as an evil mastermind. Next: "Look Who's Stalking."
On today's Round 1, we discuss a Vox.com article, "How the Coronavirus Pandemic Will Affect an Entire Generation of Students." While only one of our kids is currently in a K-12 school, we still worry (a lot) about how all children, families, and teachers will get through this time—and all the challenges that will come after things go back to "normal."

Along with more obvious essentials like wallets, keys, and phones, we speak out for the need to have constant access to things like Band-aids, lip balm, and hand sanitizer. You never know when you'll need 'em! [This was recorded before the days when we needed hand sanitizer every 10 minutes.]

This article on what parenting can (and can't) do really rang true for us. Plus it led to another in our series of "parenting books we could write," entitled Look for the String. Want more? Listen to the rest of this September 2017 episode.
On this week’s Roundabout Roundup: Catherine discovered Nutella Biscuits at the Nutella Cafe, and Nicole is charmed by Brody Schaffer (@BossBabyBrody on Instagram). Terri has created a 21-hour-long (and growing) playlist of instrumental music to listen to while she works, and you can use it too.
