On Dancing With the Stars, Icons Night brought plenty of eyeliner and quite a few fun dances, along with a farewell to Backstreet Boy AJ McLean. Next: The semi-finals.
We're doubling up on dancing for a few weeks with the Netflix series Baby Ballroom, a look at the competitive world of British ballroom dancing. Come for the adorable moppets doing the cha-cha-cha; stay for the delightful British accents from one and all. Next: Season 1, episodes 3 and 4.

We often talk about our dogs, and Catherine's household briefly had custody of a hedgehog. But even though it might be legal to keep a kangaroo, a raccoon, or a tarantula as a pet, that's a "No" from us, dawg. Mentioned: The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs, Australia, on Instagram.
On Speed-Round Sunday, we share a mini episode from our past for your weekend listening pleasure.
A funny story from Ellie Kemper about what calmed her baby on a plane got us thinking about unusual things that comforted our little ones.
On Second-Listen Saturday, we share some fun moments from past episodes for your weekend listening pleasure.
We wade into the treacherous waters of kids and lying: What are the best ways to react, and to teach them about honesty? (Surprise: There are no easy answers.) Mentioned: Why You Shouldn't Punish Your Kids for Lying, Lying vs. "Truthiness" (by Terri), Why Kids Lie (by Catherine). Want more? Listen to the rest of this November 2017 episode.
On this week’s Roundabout Roundup: Terri invites brides- and grooms-to-be to check out Wedding Dance School, from Dancing with the Stars pros Pasha Pashkov and Daniella Karagach. Thanks as always to Jon Morin for our fun in-and-out music, which you hear on every episode.
Hearing about Play-Doh's new line of Play-Doh for Grown-Ups (with scents like "Overpriced Latte" and "Lord of the Lawn") got us obsessing about other toys we loved and want to bring back. But we'll take our Play-Doh original flavor, please. Mentioned: Desktop Dog Park; Lego's Architecture series.
We once thought that as got older, our skin would toughen up and we'd be able to handle criticism. Turns out? Not so much! If you're going to leave us a comment, please make it a nice one.
On Dancing with the Stars, the double elimination turned out to be one elimination (bye, Crishell) and one withdrawal for medical reasons (get well soon, Jeannie). We're still voting for too many of the remaining contestants--while we can. Next week: Icons Night.
As a palate cleanser after two seasons of Veronica Mars, we turned to a much gentler investigation: On the Rocks, a Sofia Coppola movie streaming on AppleTV+. It starred two of our faves, Bill Murray and Rashida Jones, and was a sweet and wistful portrait of a bygone (that is, pre-pandemic) New York City. Next week: We double down on dancing with Baby Ballroom on Netflix (season 1, episodes 1 and 2).
