After watching the coverage of Daphne, the koala that climbed into a family's Christmas tree, we talked about what our families might do (or have done!) to make the news. You never know when that car key collection or copy of the local newspaper might come in handy. Mentioned: Our exotic pets episode (Catherine changed her mind about koalas) and the #whynotsynchro campaign.

LOVE IT! BTW, synchronized skating & luge aren't that obscure anymore. After all, they're Olympic sports. Though I do think that luge riders are a bit crazy. I mean, you're basically riding a kid's sled down a bobsled course! Skeleton riders, on the other hand, *ARE* crazy. With luge at least you're riding feet first & face up but with skeleton you're riding face first & face down!!! I've seen footage of bobsleds going down a bobsled course & that's scary. Doing it on a kid's sled feet 1st & face up has to be almost terrifying. But as a skeleton rider, it (to me) would be actually incredibly terrifying (i.e. it's something I would *NEVER* *NEVER* *NEVER* ever do)!!!

I totally agree with you about skeleton! Head first is sooooo different from feet first! And you are right that both are Olympic sports. Synchronized skating is not yet recognized as an Olympic event (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TwNWYtJeRw) but we fans are still hopeful. Maybe in 2026!
